Trafalgar Square was not the most hygienic of places to be at last Saturday. It played host to the 6th edition of the International Pillow Fight Day. Eager, fun-loving participants, some draped in their PJs while others in outlandish costumes, came in droves to the famous landmark in the heart of London. Armed with their drool-stained and mushy old pillows, they promised to put up a good fight!
The event, a brainchild of a group that calls itself Urban Playground, runs free events in cities around the world. Its sole purpose: to get people out into the streets to interact. A brilliant idea if you ask me, for I believe as long as I live, I will never experience this back in my home country, the pillow fight that is. I shall not go on. I shall not ramble on, lest I want to make this a poignant entry about how I am missing this event already.
